We had an amazing experience working with Sprucehill and could not be happier of the final product. We did a full renovation down to the studs of our entire house and absolutely love what they were able to produce for us - this was a 5600 square foot home in just 11 months. Sprucehill only uses the best sub trades and you can have confidence that their attention to detail from the planning stage to execution will leave you so happy with both the process and the result. Everything from budgeting to elevations and specifications was super well organized, meaning that communication between us and them was most often crystal clear. They use a great programme to organize all their notes so whenever you need to look up anything, it’s all right there for you. Erik and his team are super friendly, extremely knowledgable and work very well together. I was always made to feel as a priority to them and they worked so hard to provide perfection on our project. They even won an award for our Master Suite. I have had a lot of experience renovating with different companies before this project and have never had anything close to this level of professionalism and skill. As the millwork is such a key part of a lot of home renovation projects, the communication between the contractor and millworker is key. Right from the beginning, the team at Sprucehill provided us with great design drawings, clear direction, and and a well thought out process to success. One thing that gets missed on a lot of projects by contractors is providing us the space and the time to do our job properly. The Sprucehill project management team built a schedule that accommodated our work, as well as provided us the space to do what we needed to do successfully. I hired Erik Jensen and his team at Sprucehill Contracting to build a custom home to replace the home I grew up in. They were really sensitive to the nostalgic aspect of this project, which made us feel heard and cared about.Construction began in July of 2014 and we moved in September of 2015. The quality of the work that Sprucehill's team and trades did was excellent. Everyone they work with was very professional and seemed to really care about the quality of their work.One of the things we liked the most about working with Sprucehill was our weekly budget reports. We always felt like we were in the driver's seat and knew where the budget was at (and where it may grow to!). Any changes we made were quickly documented and added to the overall budget. Ultimately, we feel like we received excellent value for the money spent.Any issues that came up during construction or shortly thereafter were quickly addressed and taken care of. About a year after we moved in, we had a bunch of nail pops and other minor deficiencies that needed to be addressed. Erik and his team took care of them quickly and efficiently without any issues.At the end of the day, we are really happy we hired Sprucehill to build our dream home, complete with our amazing pool!
